The period for nominations for the new Board of Directors is now over. During the second half of August ballots will be prepared for distribution, with mailout scheduled for on or around Labor Day. Voting will proceed during the months of September and October, ending on October 31.

The slate of candidates is as follows:

for President: Paul Parker; for Vice President: Beverly Coleman; for Secretary: Dan Fox; for Treasurer: Chip Atkison; for seven at-large board seats: Mary Leisring, Jim Wohlenhaus, Alan Rice, Jim Powers, Matt Repplinger, John Paul and Tom Verdon.

Yesterday’s monthly drop-in luncheon attracted a record eight SABRites and guests. Among those in attendance were John Beal, Mary Leisring, Mary O’Dell, Paul Parker and Matt Repplinger. The September lunch may possibly include a very special guest, maybe, maybe we hope. He is a member of baseball’s Hall-of-Fame. It will be on Wednesday, September 19 at noon at the Wynkoop Brewery.
